freakinguselessBaby's first Trick or Treat! Thank you so, so much for signing up to gift me something for one of these fandoms. I am really excited to see whatever you come up with, and I am sure I will love it.
General Likes: character studies, slice-of-life, scenes that slot somewhere within the canon and expand upon it, outsider POV, unreliable narrators/the way POV influences a story, non-linear narratives, intimacy in all its guises (domestic fic, doing the laundry together, really knowing someone else, healthy and sometimes unhealthy dependencies), messy/complicated/nuanced relationships (anything really intense, with a possessive they're-part-of-me-and-I'm-part-of-them dynamic), future fic, road trips, fake dating, sharing a bed, hurt/comfort, time loops, trapped in an elevator/enclosed space, AUs (all the AUs! a good soulmate au -- sometimes that means two people who aren't soulmates saying fuck it and going all-in on each other, heist au, etc.), infidelity (my ships cheating with each other, not on each other), blood oaths, 5 Times/5 + 1 fics.

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) (Ship: Sophie/Jordan (Bodies Bodies Bodies 2022), Trick or Treat)
I came out of Bodies Bodies Bodies absolutely fascinated by Jordan and Sophie's relationship. I was so convinced it was the best part of the movie that I went back to the theater and watched it a second time, and it proved more fruitful than I imagined. I would love any fic that explores their dynamic at any time. Give me pre-film Sophie and Jordan when they're dating. The partying together! Jordan's trips in the ambulance with Sophie when she overdosed! Making fun of their friends! Giving each other the power to hurt and fiercely pretending they haven't!
I would also love something that takes place around the time of the film. Sophie and Jordan's tryst in Sophie's car before Sophie and Bee arrived. When Jordan asks if someone tried to take advantage of her in the dark, and Sophie says, "In your dreams, babe," maybe Sophie did "take advantage" of her in the dark. A fic exploring their incriminating messages -- there's a reason Sophie would rather wrestle for her phone than simply hand it over. I love infidelity, and I love the idea that Sophie and Jordan are two people so entangled that they have no real idea how to disentangle, how to give each other up or have a healthy relationship.
As far as AUs for them: Maybe instead of Jordan dying, it's Bee, leaving Sophie and Jordan. Maybe they're trapped in a time loop, and Sophie and Jordan are the only two to remember. Maybe Sophie and Jordan were actually working together to kill all their friends! Maybe nobody dies and the hurricane party is still a nightmare, just in a different way. Maybe nobody dies and they have a full blown affair.
Would also love: Bonnie & Clyde AU, Vampire AU (sexy blood drinking/the idea of consuming the one you love), surviving a zombie apocalypse (but not interested in either girl actually being a zombie).
Again, I just love them, and anything dealing with their fucked up dynamic would be fantastic.
Stranger Things (TV 2016) (Ship:Robin Buckley & Steve Harrington (Stranger Things TV), Treat)
Robin and Steve's relationship is so wonderful to me, specifically because Robin coming out to Steve made me cry. They're best friends, and I adore how they understand each other and have fun together. The banter! The idea that they're the only two people who really know each other makes my heart feel all squishy. I was disappointed that season four didn't really utilize their dynamic or give them a real heart-to-heart. Along those lines, I don't want a ton of other Stranger Things characters in the fic or any sort of focus on larger group dynamics. I am especially not interested in Robin/Vickie, Steve/Nancy or Robin/Nancy (unless Steve and Robin are bonding about their depressing feelings for Nancy/explicitly choosing each other over another relationship -- would love one of them having a significant other who is jealous of their relationship, even if that person knows it's not sexual or traditionally romantic, and they choose each other over that person).
I would love anything with the two of them acting as package deal -- maybe all of the terrible jobs they embark on together! If you want them to take the kids trick-or-treating that could be fun, but I wouldn't want the focus to be on the kids or Robin or Steve's relationship with them. Any type of hurt/comfort would be great, saving each other, tending to each other's wounds. I do not mind Robin dealing with homophobia, and I do not mind Steve standing up for her/defending her -- let him give someone a bloody nose!
Maybe they move out of Hawkins together and become roommates. Maybe it's a roommate AU, and that's how they meet! I would also love a road trip fic.
I really, really love them, and I requested Treat here because I am not interested in anything dark for them without light at the end. I don't mind angst, but I do want an earned happy ending.
Ready or Not (2019) (Ship: Daniel Le Domas/Grace Le Domas (Ready or Not), Trick or Treat)
I loved their relationship in the movie and how it coincides with and influence Daniel's redemption arc. Daniel being protective of Grace and protecting her during the game, and choosing her over his wife and family is catnip to me. I would love anything where he protects her, or where she ends up protecting him right back. There have been so many time loops written for this fandom, but if you want to write one, I will be more than happy to read it! Maybe they somehow both survive the night, and then they have to deal with the trauma together.
I'd love any story with Grace and Daniel having an affair, and I do think Daniel really loves his brother, so the guilt they both feel along with an inability to actually stop. I would also love for Alex to know about it and be livid and humiliated.
I would be into a vampire AU (sexy blood drinking!) or zombie apocalypse AU (with neither Grace nor Daniel actually becoming a zombie). Any sort of creepy/horror AU would also be very welcome!
Dare Me (TV 2019) (Ship: Beth Cassidy/Addy Hanlon (Dare Me), Trick or Treat)
Addy and Beth's relationship is the blueprint for my absolute favorite kind of f/f relationship in fiction. They're best friends, so they have a long, complicated history together. They secretly kissed, and they are both so controlling (Beth) and repressed (Addy) that they have no idea what to do with their love for each other, so they let it destroy them. Their relationship is unhealthy, codependent and possessive, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't want them to ever let each other go or move on. Less "I can fix her" and more "I can make her worse."
I would love any story that explores their relationship at any point before the show starts, during the series, or after it ends. I read the novel as well, so feel free to take backstory mentioned there into account, but do not feel the need to do so! I would love fic where they're being terrors to everyone around them: Tacy and the squad. I would love fic that explores the insular nature of the two of them and how that affects them and/or how others see them.
I do not want Colette to play a big part here. To me, she's most interesting as a catalyst for Addy and Beth's drama, but it is their relationship that is the heart and soul of my interest.
As far as AUs go: Vampire AU (sexy blood drinking!), Bonnie & Clyde AU, robbing a bank/running a heist, serial killer AU. Anything that has them being absolutely deranged and terrible and in love/in hate simultaneously.
