freakinguselessHello Trick or Treat author! Thank you so much for agreeing to write something for me for any of these four fandoms. I am already grateful and extremely excited to see what you come up with, as I know it'll be amazing! Below I have some general preferences, sex likes, and Do Not Wants, after that I've divided up the fandoms to discuss what about them and the ship makes me feel like running laps around my neighborhood! Any prompts are simply ideas or starting points, if you have another angle or idea that inspires you, please go for it! If you like what you're writing and excited about it, I know I will love it.
I am open to extra gifts, and in that case, feel free to ignore my preferences!
General Likes: character studies, scenes that slot somewhere within the canon and expand upon it, outsider POV, unreliable narrators/the way POV influences a story, non-linear narratives, intimacy in all its guises (domestic fic; doing the laundry together, really knowing someone else, healthy and unhealthy dependencies), messy/complicated/nuanced relationships (anything really intense, with a possessive they're-part-of-me-and-I'm-part-of-them dynamic), future fic, road trips, fake dating, sharing a bed, hurt/comfort, time loops, trapped in an elevator/enclosed space, AUs (lots of AUs! a good soulmate au -- sometimes that means two people who aren't soulmates saying fuck it and going all-in on each other, and sometimes it means your soulmate is Bad For You But You Don't Care, heist au, etc.), infidelity (my ships cheating with each other, not on each other), jealousy, being violent towards others on behalf of the one they love, media fics (incorporating fake tweets/reddit threads/articles), 5 Times/5 + 1 fics.

BODIES BODIES BODIES (2022) (Ship: Jordan/Sophie (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Treat - Fic or Trick - Fic)

I came out of Bodies Bodies Bodies absolutely fascinated by Jordan and Sophie's relationship. I was so convinced it was the best part of the movie that I went back to the theater and watched it a second time! I would love any fic that explores their dynamic at any time. Give me pre-film Sophie and Jordan when they're dating. Partying together! Jordan's trips in the ambulance with Sophie! Making fun of their friends! Giving each other the power to hurt and fiercely pretending they haven't! Hurting each other -- permanent emotional scars!
I would also love something that takes place around the time of the film. Sophie and Jordan's tryst in Sophie's car before Sophie and Bee arrived. When Jordan asks if someone tried to take advantage of her in the dark, and Sophie says, "In your dreams, babe," maybe Sophie did "take advantage" of her in the dark. A fic exploring their incriminating messages -- there's a reason Sophie would rather wrestle for her phone than simply hand it over. I love infidelity, and I love the idea that Sophie and Jordan are two people so entangled that they have no real idea how to disentangle, how to give each other up or have a healthy relationship. Maybe they've cheated on every other partner they've ever had with each other!
As far as AUs for them: Maybe instead of Jordan dying, it's Bee, leaving Sophie and Jordan. Maybe they're trapped in a time loop, and Sophie and Jordan are the only two who remember. Maybe Sophie and Jordan were actually working together to kill all their friends! Maybe nobody dies and the hurricane party is still a nightmare, just in a different way. Maybe nobody dies and they have a full blown affair.
Would also love: Bonnie & Clyde AU, Vampire AU (sexy blood drinking/the idea of consuming the one you love), surviving a zombie apocalypse (but not interested in either girl actually being a zombie).
Again, I just love them, and anything dealing with their fucked up dynamic would be fantastic.
HOUSE OF THE DRAGON (TV) (Ship: Daemon Targaryen/Rhaenyra Targaryen(HotD), Treat - Fic or Trick - Fic)

My favorite thing about House of the Dragon is the complicated way different characters and relationship parallel and contrast, as well as how a relationship cannot be separated from how other characters influence their dynamic. And my favorite relationship, by far, is the one between Daemon and Rhaenyra (and the specter of Viserys hanging over them). Rhaenyra verbalized it in season two - she wanted to be him and everything that he was, and he wanted to be her and have what she had, her father's trust and love. He "created her" and he resents her for it as much as he loves her and can't stop. Daemon is uncle and husband and warrior, and Rhaenyra is niece and wife and queen, and those categorization aren't simple or neat or easy (the power dynamics are contradictory!) (she'd love to be a warrior! In a way he's filling the traditional role of queen as king consort!).
My Do Not Wants say no Game of Thrones AUs, but I love the canon world of House of the Dragon and what its patriarchal hierarchy does for the storytelling and how it shapes and harms the characters, so please feel free to explore these two within canon. Give me Daemon and Rhaenyra navigating the power between the two of them. Dig into the repercussions and drama surrounding their hasty remarriage. Give me more harrenhal hauntings! Go sideways and have Daemon actually steal Rhaenyra away from her first wedding, or make him the father of her (first) bastard children!
If some sort of AU speaks to you, that's great, too! I find modern AUs really fun when they dig into the taboo and nastiness of the uncle/niece incest (not into making Daemon and Rhaenyra not related) and whatever world/business the Targaryens rule over. Social media fic where people are reacting in reddit threads? Yes! Do some sort of Stoker AU. Rhaenyra saying they were halves of a whole made me think of "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same," so go Wuthering Heights! A Bonnie and Clyde partner-in-crime thing would be great, or serial killers, or vampires!
Honestly, whatever you want to do with these two, as long as they're unable to detangled themselves, I will absolutely love.
SANCTUARY (2022) (Ship: Rebecca Marin/Hal Porterfield (Sanctuary 2022), Treat - Fic or Trick - Fic)

Sanctuary was one of the most surprisingly delightful movie experiences I had last year. I didn't know what to expect going into it, but I absolutely loved it. A screwball romcom disguised as an erotic thriller! Absolutely obsessed with the power play between Hal and Rebecca and his desire to make her happy. The way her jealousy slowly comes through when she thinks he's talking to a girlfriend or fiancée and then her relief and delight when she learns it's his mom! How much Hal respects Rebecca and genuinely appreciated their time together -- the absolutely annoying room service order that was half for her! Buying her a watch and really, really wanting her to like it! Everything about the movie makes me feel so, so nuts.
Would love fic that explores any of their sessions, whether it's set before the film or something they still engage in after the film ends because they find it scratches an itch for both of them. She tells him what to do, degrades him, and he loves it. I would also love to see them navigating their newfound relationship where Rebecca goes to work and Hal takes care of her in every way. What does that look like for them? Is there a learning curve? Does she have the energy to be judgmental and then tell him he did a good job? What happens if she doesn't'?
I loved the actual sex scene between them -- knife to his throat! How her happiness is the most important thing to him! Give me more of that. Some pain play, some vague threats, dirty talk and Rebecca telling Hal exactly what she thinks of him! They both seem to have a breeding kink, and I love that for them!
Would be delighted by a media-style fic where people are reacting to the fact that Hal bought out the company and named Rebecca CEO -- Who is she? How do they know each other? The gossip, the tabloids, the reddit threads! The tweets! How does his mom react? How does her ex-fiancé react? -- Speaking of, did he have any idea she was checking out of their relationship? Would be so fun!
For this movie, I would prefer to focus on the actual canon universe, but beyond that, go wild!
THOROUGHBREDS (2017) (Ship: Amanda/Lily (Thoroughbreds), Treat - Fic or Trick - Fic)

I love Thoroughbreds so much! I think about it routinely, at least every other month! It's just so exactly my jam. I love Amanda and Lily and their nebulous and odd relationship. They used to be good friends -- the picture of them on their horses when they were younger! -- and then they lost touch, and now they're reconnecting at a time when neither of them really have anyone else.
I love the way the film plays with their obsession with each other, how throughout the movie Amanda sometimes wears something that reflects Lily's style and vice versa. They influence each other, but they never fully switch places or become each other. They can both be their truest (awful?) selves with each other, and they both lose that freedom in the end in different ways. When Lily told Amanda she drugged her drink and was planning on framing her for murder and Amanda chugged the screwdriver? I was clapping, cheering, kicking my feet and twirling my hair! That's love, baby! The original script makes me feel unhinged!
I would love anything that expands on them during the timeframe of the film, missing pieces or conversations between them. I want them to kiss! I'm into them fucking! For these two in particular I absolutely don't mind any sort of pain play or blood play. I would also love anything set after the movie: Maybe Lily visits Amanda, or maybe Amanda gets out and they run into each other somewhere.
As far as AUs for them, let them murder half of Connecticut! Serial Killer AU! Give them a Thelma & Louise or Bonnie & Clyde sort of road trip! Vampire AU or Cannibalism AU -- love as consumption! Amanda gave her life for Lily in the film, maybe some type of literalizing of that. Let Lily be haunted by Amanda, whether real or in her head. Haunting as a form of love! Anything creepy, dark and twisted here works for me.
